What people come in for

Four areas make up most of the practice. Every visit starts with a full intake, pulse and tongue assessment, and a plan that is reviewed as you go.

Chronic pain

Neck, back, shoulder and knee pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, TMJ and jaw tension.

Sports and recovery

Post-injury and post-surgical recovery, working alongside physiotherapy or massage therapy rather than instead of it.

Stress and sleep

Stress, low mood, disturbed sleep and fatigue. A common reason students book a first visit during exam season.

Women's health

Menstrual irregularity, hormonal changes and menopausal symptoms, in a private setting.

What a first visit looks like

ONE

Book online

Choose a time through Jane. You will get a questionnaire to complete before you arrive.

TWO

Arrive early

Come 15 to 30 minutes ahead so there is time for pulse and tongue assessment. Wear something loose, or bring it to change into. Eat something first.

THREE

Assessment

A full intake covering what brought you in, your history and your daily patterns, then a plan for the session.

FOUR

Treatment

The session itself, followed by a cup of Chinese tea and, if it helps, a plan for what comes next.

Private treatment room with a professional treatment table and warm lamp light

A quiet, private clinic

The clinic is on the second floor of Improve Canada Centre on Keele Street, with free parking on site and a treatment room set apart from the noise of the building.

There is also a separate candlelit lounge used for group and community sessions.
